| Through the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Agreement for Minority Education and Second Language Official 
            Instruction (OLE) the district receives funding to: 
                Increase the number of students in French second language programsImprove student achievementOffer special student activities and training for teachersSupport a French program specialist positionHire French Immersion teacher aidesGive overall support for French second language programs. 
                Individual students and teachers can also access funds to support teacher and student study and to subsidize 
                class trips to French-speaking areas of Canada and to St. Pierre.            
             
                In addition to the regular core French Program, some schools may also offer Primary Core French, Expanded Core French, 
                Intensive Core French or French Immersion.
