KinderStart is a program that is delivered in schools throughout the province to support young children and families in the transition from home to school. It consists of several orientation sessions for children and their parents/caregivers in the year prior to Kindergarten entry. The sessions are normally facilitated by the Kindergarten teacher and include developmentally appropriate activities, activity bags and resources for parents/guardians.

Principals schedule and publicize KinderStart sessions for their individual schools each year.
